Through Christ, God has brought us reconciliation. Today we ask for God’s continuing help for all who need healing, freedom and peace.

We pray for Pope Francis and all Church leaders. May they continue to be inspired to proclaim Christ through their ministry of humble service.

We pray for our Church agencies working throughout the world. May they respond to the needy in the spirit of the Good Samaritan, ever willing to challenge the ‘priests and Levites’ of our day.

On this Apostleship of the Sea Sunday, we pray for all seafarers, the men and women who work on the oceans. May they be protected from all dangers and return safely to their homes.

We pray for those in need of healing and support in our community. In the spirit of the Good Samaritan, may we do all we can to improve their lot, whatever the cost to us.

Merciful God, your Son Jesus has helped us to see our neighbour in everyone who is in need. May we live the Gospel command fully by loving God and our neighbour. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
