We come before the Lord, whose light has illuminated our hearts. Led by Divine Grace, we intercede for our Church and the world in which we live.
We pray for all Church leaders. Gifted by the Holy Spirit, may they be an inspiration, in love and true humanity, to all God’s people.
Lord, hear us.

We pray for all who make our laws and administer justice. May those who work for refugees and the displaced of our world find guidance in the message of today’s feast: that God reaches out to all people.

We pray for those who have been baptised into Christ’s Body, the Church. May we always be aware of the responsibilities that have come with this privilege.

We pray for people who live in a state of personal despair or hopelessness. May they come to feel the presence of God’s loving grace in their lives.

We pray for those who have gone before us in death, especially those who have died recently and all whose anniversaries occur at this time. May the God of Mercy fulfil the promise of their baptism by welcoming them into eternal life.

Gracious God, we ask you to hear us today and every day as we make intercession before you, through Christ our Lord.
