Gifts in abundance come to us from God our Father. As we rejoice in the peace of our land, let us bring our concerns and needs before the Lord.

As we celebrate Australia Day this week, we pray for our political leaders at all levels. May they overcome their differences and strive to work together for the good of our Commonwealth.

We pray for Aboriginal Australians, the first people of this land, and for all who have come from different parts of the world to settle here with them. May the Holy Spirit lead all Australians to learn from each other, and to share and grow in love for one another as one nation.

We pray for our faith community. May we acknowledge each person’s special, God-given gifts and use our talents for the betterment of ourselves and others.
