The promise of the Spirit has been given to us. Trusting in the Spirit, we present the following petitions before our loving God.

We pray for Pope Leo and all bishops of our Church. May they be strengthened in their ministry to be true shepherds of the flock.

We pray for leaders in our world today. May they be true guides on the path to justice and equity for all people.

We pray for our priests and deacons. In this difficult time in our Church, may they be strengthened through the Spirit to live their vocation.

We pray for those who have turned away from God. May they respond to the words of Peter ‘to come back to the shepherd and guardian of their souls’.

We pray for those who have died recently and for those whose anniversaries occur at this time. May they share the fullness of eternal life promised by the Good Shepherd.

God, our Good Shepherd, we fear no evil if you are at our side. Hear our prayers for those who seek your justice and healing. We ask this through Christ our risen Lord.
