Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. We come to the Father through him. Today we offer our petitions in the name of him who alone shows us the way.

Reader

We pray for the guidance of our Church today. May Pope Leo and all bishops be inspired with the Holy Spirit promised by Jesus.

We pray for our world leaders. May they, like the apostles of the early Church, strive to govern for the common good.

We pray for those among us who feel they have lost the way. May they be drawn to Jesus, who gives life to the full for all who trust in him.

We pray for those who have recently died and for those whose anniversaries we remember at this time. May they live forever with Christ in the glory of his resurrection.

The promise of the Spirit has been given to us. Trusting in the Spirit, we present the following petitions before our loving God.

We pray for Pope Leo and all bishops of our Church. May they be strengthened in their ministry to be true shepherds of the flock.

We pray for leaders in our world today. May they be true guides on the path to justice and equity for all people.

We pray for those who have turned away from God. May they respond to the words of Peter ‘to come back to the shepherd and guardian of their souls’.

God, our Good Shepherd, we fear no evil if you are at our side. Hear our prayers for those who seek your justice and healing. We ask this through Christ our risen Lord.

We call upon the Father, whose compassion has no bounds, confident that our prayers will be heard.
